The Blickensderfer No.5 Typewriter was the first commercially successful model for inventor George Canfield Blickensderfer and the Blickensderfer Typewriter Company of Stamford, Connecticut. The earliest examples of this model, like the one on this page, were made with a tapered wood base, gold decals and polygonal keytops.
